IFM Log Price Report

Inland Northwest Log Prices

In March 2009, the local log market is in a very precarious situation. There have been many sawmill shut-downs and active sawlog buyers have dwindled to just a few. Additionally, the mills that are purchasing logs are paying extremely low prices. As is common knowledge, the underlying cause for this bleak circumstance is a very distressed housing industry and a correspondingly dismal lumber market.
