Education: B.S. Forest Resource Management, Humboldt State University, 1974 Background: Ken grew up in Northern California, while spending most of his summers working on his uncle's ranch in Southern Idaho. Following college he went to work for the California Department of Forestry (CDF). In 1999 he retired from CDF after a career that lasted 27 years. His responsibilities while working at CDF included forest and fire law enforcement as well as forest landowner assistance. He was a registered professional forester in California and a peace officer. In addition, Ken was extensively involved in wildfire suppression. Since coming to IFM in 2000 he has assisted with timber sale set-up and administration, preparing forest management plans, and managing the Wildland Urban Interface Fire Mitigation programs for Bonner and Boundary Counties in Idaho.
