Fall 2016

The log market has been interesting and fluid lately. Some mills have strong inventories and have been adjusting prices downward to manage log flow, while others are bumping prices upward a little to get more wood in their yard. The one species that continues to thrive in value is cedar. Prices for cedar have elevated to an all-time high-quite a contrast to the other species which now trade in ranges well below their prime.
