As indicated by the above prices, log values have been fairly static over the last few months. Although mills have been busy working through high log inventories (because of slow log deliveries related to wet weather and road limits), most mills continue to have a healthy log supply.
Currently, spring break-up conditions are coming to a close and sawmills are evaluating their prices as the logging season begins. So far there has been little movement, but it is hoped that prices will trend upward, although likely at a very modest rate.
